Sculpture - PZH - circa 1905 "Old lady with handbag - Chris van der Hoef" 8.0cm H x 5.3cm D Small but stunning and very rare figurine from one of the master designers Chris van der Hoef, indeed any item be it a sculpture or vase, designed by Chris van der Hoef, is highly collectable. Christiaan Johannes van der Hoef was born in 1875 in Amsterdam and died in The Hague in 1933. According to Johan Karelse, this wonderful piece was made around 1905 during his first work period for Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland from 1903 to 1905.
