Gouda copies, look-alikes, home workers, fakes or "made to deceive" - Part 8.
Repeated note - "By showing these items from eBay or Marktplaats.nl (and other sites) we do not imply that the sellers had any knowledge they are/were fakes or made to deceive. They are shown as examples as we believe it is in every ones interest to see them."
This is a fake of a Rozenburg tea pot which was on Marktplaats in June 2009. The decor is of a fish which has a craquele finish. However, this finish is fake as Rozenburg thin eggshell did not have this craquelure. The original Rozenburg tea pot model was a creation of J. Jurriaan Kok, art director and once general manager of Rozenburg.
Below are a selection of fakes taken from Marktplaats and eBay. There were so many during the period June to August we just show you a selection here without text. Look back on the previous pages of Gouda Copies and you will find explanations and see many from the same 'fakers'! Please note - some images are enhanced to show detail and may not be the original colours.
With thanks to Joop Nobel, Friggo Visser, Ron Tasman and all other vigilant collectors around the world.
