REMBRANDT FACTORY NIJMEGEN COMMEMORATIVE PLATE OR BOWL - 1912 20.3cm D by 4.0cm H A very rare and visually stunning commemorative item produced for the total solar eclipse of 17 April 1912. Painted at the Nijmegen factory. An example of this is in the Museum Het Valkhof in Nijmegen. The wording means - "the day becomes night".
